The work you never hear about
Somebody needed a spark this week. They looked you up, found nothing worth ringing, and called the next name on the list. You will never know it happened — that is the whole problem with it.
I'm an electrician, not an agency
Folkestone. Domestic and commercial, same as you. I taught myself to build properly and now I do it for other electrical firms in the gaps between jobs — which is why I know what your customer is actually looking for, and why I am not going to sell you a brochure. The website side of it is Lanners Systems.
Built by someone on the tools
I have quoted the jobs you quote and chased the payments you chase. You will not have to explain what a consumer unit is, or why a callout is not a project.
Your brand, not a template
Your colours, your photos, your work. Not a stock picture of a stranger holding a multimeter, and not the same layout as three firms in your county.
Made for a phone
Most people find you one-handed, outside, in a hurry. If your number is not a thumb away in the first second, the site is decoration.
This is my own firm's site
Not a portfolio piece for a client who paid me. My electrical business runs on it. Open it on your phone — that is where it is meant to be judged.
- Tap to call, everywhere. Not a number in the footer somebody has to copy out while standing in the rain.
- Photos of real work. Boards, first fixes, finished jobs. What a customer wants is evidence you have done theirs before.
- Send a photo instead of describing it. The enquiry form takes pictures, so somebody can show me their fuse board rather than explain it badly down the phone — and I can price it without a visit.
- The areas I cover, in plain English. Half the reason people do not ring is they are not sure you come out to them.
What it costs you to leave it
Nobody rings to tell you they picked somebody else. That is why a weak site never feels urgent — the cost arrives as jobs that simply never happen, week after week, and none of them show up anywhere you would look.
They check you before they call
Even a recommendation gets looked up first. What they find decides whether the phone rings at all.
An old site reads as a quiet business
Fair or not, a site that looks abandoned suggests the firm might be too. People would rather not take the chance on their own house.
Want to see what yours could look like?
Tell me the firm and I will put an idea together for it — your brand, your work, no charge and no call. If you like it we can talk. If you do not, you have lost nothing and I will not chase you about it.
